This episode featured a deep discussion from a virtual eczema meet up, where eczema sufferers shared about the impact of eczema and dermatitis on their relationships and their caregivers. They also discussed why doctors aren't acknowledging or doing very much to help with topical steroid withdrawal. It was a great and emotional discussion that I hope you will enjoy!

This discussion was shared with permission from the facilitators, Linette Roungchun (@linettero) and Sean Dillnutt (@tsw_seandillnutt)

In this episode, my husband and I share about the challenges of being in a relationship when you have eczema/dermatitis. We also shared how we got through our challenges when I had really severe flare ups. It hasn't always been easy - but I hope some of these tips can help you and give you hope.

Today Dr. Ana-Maria Temple, an integrative pediatrician, who has been doing numerous news interviews regarding COVID-19, has joined us on the podcast. She has also created a children's eczema course. Head to bit.ly/childeczemacourse to check it out and get $100 off.

**In today's episode, she talks about:

  • Are kids and adults with eczema more at risk for getting it?
  • Am I in the immunocompromised high risk category if I have severe eczema flare ups?
  • "If I'm on #dupixent for extreme eczema, am I considered high risk for contracting it? Is there anything I can do to help it?"
  • Any recommendations to boost the immune system & prevent getting it in adults and kids?
  • If infected, how long are you considered recovered and no longer spreading the coronavirus?
  • Why are 30 year olds dying form the virus without having any pathologies?
  • Will your dermatitis flare if you get the virus? Why does my skin flare during a flu or when I'm not feeling well?

Maybe you're not where you want to be yet, or you haven't seen progress in your eczema healing journey, but don't discredit your progress. Give yourself credit for how far you've come. Progress is power and you're making progress no matter if you feel it.

One day, it will all add up to something. Give yourself credit for all your hard work and how far you've come.
